Debate coach Lexy Green (class of 1981) wrote an article on extemporaneous speech for the National Forensics League back in 1996, and we just stumbled across it today. A pearl of wisdom: “We should not allow our students to see their audiences as stupid housepets drooling at the sound of a canned opening.”
